BTS Software Solutions is seeking a System Engineer 2 with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD

What You'll Get To Do:

The selected candidate will provide system engineering support to an existing team that provides full life cycle support to a vital enterprise Human Resource Applications and Services organization. The candidate must be a strong systems engineer that is comfortable working on a team of senior & junior developers and help desk for operational systems. This individual must be willing to tackle challenges and be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment. Primary responsibilities will be acting as the direct liaison between Government leadership and the development team to establish priorities, facilitating agile processes, communicating with team members, the Government and end user customers. The individual will need to work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Program Management team.

Education/Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of experience as an SE. Nineteen (19) years of SE experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in a team lead role of diverse skillsets and experience levels
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong project leadership skills to include identifying opportunities, risks and communicating with all levels of contractor and Government leadership.
• Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and products
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules
• Experience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of done.
